I love this project. I always say that my wedding day was the happiest day of my life (so far)...but now I will declare this as part of your quilt so I can learn to repeat the aspects of this day again and again and again! I can already see a create a balance post emerging in my mind. I'm off to work on my quilt project tonight. Thanks for the inspiration and hope for more of my happiest days of my life.

This was an interesting walk down memory lane for me. My happiness qualities are: pioneering, creativity and flow in a reckless abandon kind of way. I guess you'd call it wildness. Thanks for the mention and the inspiration.

And when you open the links and see the pictures they clearly talk about me... I love colors and am happy when I see them. I am fond of butterflies and elephants. They make me real happy. I love watching animals. Being one with the nature makes me happy. I am loyal and constant in my love for travel... I am constantly cleaning something around me...even though that habit of mine is little weird, it gives me happiness. The 'Happiness Quilt' of my life will show a pattern of travelling, researching, learning and being creative.

Here's my attempt (took me a while to come up with this!)

    Happiness characteristics:

    - laughter, lots of it
    - camaraderie, being loved.
    - being completely in the moment
    - suspension a sense of time (or urgency)
    - contentment; losing worry of ego

    Story:
One of my recent memories of feeling incredibly happy was when we were at the Grand Canyon - watching the sunset on the East Rim. As we watched, the colors of the canyon and the desert changed in front of us; taking impossible shades. And the expanse in front of our eyes was so vast and wild; and we were so small, our worries so insignificant. We sat there for I don't know how long. We were transfixed; entralled, and smiling.

Lately, almost every moment is a happy one for me. I can't say that I am happier on my Wedding day than today. For right this moment, I am more in awareness of who I am and what I am here to do. I am fulfilled, knowing that I am blessed with all that I have right here right now!

My happiness qualities are very much the same as Stacey from Create a Balance. Joyful, laughing, in peace and spiritually connected!

    Hi Maya,
    My happiness characteristics:
    1. Nature - in it's raw form
    2. Connections - true, and meaningful connections with others.
    3. Kindness - both given and received

    My link: http://www.jungleoflife.com/2008/12/11/kindness...

Story: I find true happiness from different sources. First, is nature, and the beauty it has to offer. Recently, I've also been embracing connections with other people, and have found just so much joy in really connecting at many levels. And, through acts of kindness, my hearts is constantly refilled with both love and happiness - and renews hope that our world is filled with much good.

    Hey Maya,

    Are you from Seattle too?
Yes its been snowing heavily here and we had fierce winter storm hitting Washington this weekend. Looking forward to Christmas though.
Yes, I would love to attempt writing stories for children.
Haven't done before... would give it a try if opportunity knocks...

    Have a nice day :)
